Halloween Treat Bags

Design Team Project using My Mind's Eye Happy Haunting Halloween papers. The treat bags turned out cute. I used a Chinese take out container to put them all in. There are 4 different ones - these can be seen in person at La Vintage Paperie in Burley.

Advent Calendar for my Design Team Project

This advent calendar was created using a compartmental tray that I got at a yard sale for .50 and Crate Paper papers along with some Christmas embellishments I had on hand from last year.
Christmas is not that far away....must get busy with projects.....
This is the tray after I added the papers to the inside of each compartment.

Ikea Photo frame Flip Book

Last time we made a trip to the Utah Ikea store, I picked up some of the .99 cent frames specifically for making flip books. I saw one somewhere (probably on Pinterest) and thought it was such a great idea.

I used the Crate Paper Story Teller Collection. I cut all my pages ahead of time, 2 of each double sided paper so I'd have a page with each pattern. I punched all the holes ahead of time and test fit it into the frame to make sure it fit and was easy to flip though the pages.
I decided it would be a chronological overview of 2013. Using just the best photos of the things we did each month.

THEN, on the back of each page, I would do the same for 2014!
But - I don't think it's going to fit!! Here we are the end of July and its so full, its a bit hard to flip the pages.

I used the chipboard elements and stickers and die cut sheet from the Crate Paper Collection as well as some items I had on hand, small envelopes and small paper sacks to embellish each page. I also used Jenni Bowlin Name, Date, Place stickers.

Some of the photos are backed by a small envelope.

The small envelope holds additional photos from the trip.

So I may end up putting the rest of 2013's photos on the back of the existing pages. I am going to put this in my living room on the end table for the Grandkids to look at, they love looking at photos and remembering what we did and things that happened that day.
Thanks for looking!!

June Image Tag Swap - Just Received The Tags!!

I had such fun participating in the June Image Tag Swap by Stephanie Miller, Prima Educator. This was my first tag swap, which I hope is the first of many. There are so many creative folks out there!! I am inspired by each and every one of these cute tags. Just look at that cute monster tag! LOL! It is making me consider some Copic markers or art pencils, which I have not used before. And the little girl in the sun dress and bonnet, I think there's some coloring in my future!!

Some of the ladies put their YouTube channel name or blog address on the back of their tag, I will look at each one of these later tonight.

I look forward to incorporating them into my projects, but I think I will hoard them for awhile. :)

Many, many thanks for everyone's hard work, especially Steff who sorted and mailed them all!!

July Design Team Project

This month I had the opportunity to work with the new My Minds Eye "Find Your Wings and Fly" collection. They have some beautiful papers, enamel dots, alpha stickers/sentiments, chipboard embellishments and layered stickers.
I used 10 craft envelopes (9 pages and 1 for the hidden hinge binding).
There are 9 double sided pages as well as the front and back covers. I think eventually I will add a envelope or folder to the inside front and back.
There are also 9 double sided photo mats that fit in the middle of each page.
The binding is quite thick - almost 2 - 1/2 inches, so you can really add those chunky embellishments without worrying about getting the album to close.

This is a beautiful versatile paper line. I really enjoyed making this mini album. :)
Thanks for looking!
