Design Team Projects for May

A cute little mini, perfect for your purse that holds 4x6 photos.

You can add as many pages as you'd like, and it will expand. These papers and instructions to make this can be found at La Vintage Paperie in Burley. Used "Glitz" Papers.

This was created with a Michael's Crafts $1 frame, painting it, adhering paper and embellishments from the "DIY Shop" paper line by Crate Paper. Would make a great gift. These papers and embellishments can also be found at La Vintage Paperie in Burley.

Wooden Boxes from Walmart

Before....
After....
Just painted, glued on scrapbook paper, sanded and inked the edges. Turned out beautiful! I will use them to hold mini books.

Beautiful Iris

Thought I'd share the beautiful iris in my flower bed.

Fun at Home Mini Book

I completed my latest project a "Fun At Home" mini book that is housed inside one of those hollow books that you can purchase from Michael's Crafts.

I bought the book using my 40% off coupon some time ago. Then I found papers with pretty birds to match the book and created a mini book that just fits inside. This can be found in my living room on the bookcase. I used October Afternoon "Farmhouse" papers, journaling cards, buttons and trim as well as Basic Gray Serenade papers.

A fun mini book that looks at my yard, flowers, and the fun we have at my house.

Dream Street Paper Forget-Me-Not Easter Layout

Using Fancy Pants Its The Little Things chipboard banner pieces I used my crop-o-dile on the smaller hole setting, punched holes and set the eyelets. Using some twine I threaded the twine in and out of the eyelet holes to string it all together. I added the letters "Easter" on top of the banner pieces.

Under the photo is a piece of Authentique "clean" paper cut using my mini Lucky 8 punch. (LOVE those!) I also layered Fancy Pants Its The Little Things cards. These were popped up using pop dots for a bit more dimension.

New Finished Mixed Media Project

I really enjoyed completing my latest project. It contained some household items that I gladly up cycled onto my layout. I used several masks with ink and gesso. The gesso added another dimension to the layout. Underneath the photo I have layered drywall tape and the plastic netting off our Easter ham. (The netting will melt if heated to long with the heat tool - just sayin'). It also contains some wavy craft paper packaging that is peeking out from under the photo and some corrugated cardboard.
The flowers are mostly Prima. Misted with Heidi Swapps Color Shine blue and bronze.
